Sommer 3: Ambient, Balearic & New Age From Norway Compiled By Rune Lindbæk is an annual compilation from Drum Island Records that gathers some of the best music from the fjords for late nights, early mornings and those hazy bits in between.

This year’s compilation starts with one half of the legendary Idjut Boys, Dan Tyler, who moved to Norway from London years ago, and gives us here the more vertical sounds from his ever expanding synthesizer collection.

It continues with the balearic and cosmic disco queen of Norway Helene Rickhard’s tripped up bliss, followed by Drum Island Records own Rune Lindbæk’s cinematic take on the indiginous sami people producer Marcus "DJ iDJa" Thonhaugen’s forthcoming project.

Rogg and BHLB follows up from last year’s compilation with a couple of beauties worthy of any sunset, while now Berlin based new age music enthusiasts A'KARI & Tropical Contact High delivers a trippy soundtrack for inner travels.

Kenneth "Fjærklang" Furre from the label’s favourite Norwegian dub project Nopia is showing a softer side of his production for this years compilation, while long time artist on the label Center Of The Universe continuous his musical journey through the Romerike area and Asbjørn Tobiassen pays tribute to the fishing island Vardø overlooking Russia.

Øyvind Blikstad closes the compilation with Stjernehimmelen (aka. starry night) cramming in the wisdom of Carl Sagan’s "Cosmos" series, as an afterthought.
